All charitable organizations are to be applauded. There are some, however, that make us feel particularly grateful that they exist. Organizations that make us realize how important their work is and how fortunate those are who benefit by such groups. One such organization is the Youth Consultation Service (YCS). The YCS provides a safe and nurturing environment for children with special needs. The YCS cares for some of our state’s most vulnerable children by providing therapeutic facilities, special education schools, autism centers and homes for the developmentally disabled. The YCS is a home away for home for many children. All children deserve to be safe, to be nurtured and to be loved.
