Your choices
Essential services support site functions and security, including spam and abuse protection through Google reCAPTCHA. Statistics cookies are optional. Google Analytics helps us understand visits and interactions when you allow Statistics. Embedded YouTube players are held until Marketing consent. Google may process information when its services load.
Use the floating Cookie Preferences button to review or change your choices at any time. Turning off an optional category withdraws permission for future optional collection in that category. Withdrawal does not automatically erase information already collected. Your browser may also provide controls for cookies and site storage.
Analytics information and purposes
With Statistics consent, Analytics can receive online identifiers, page and referral information, campaign labels, device and browser information, and measured interactions. We use this information to understand how people find NorthStar, use educational content, and reach inquiry options. Online identifiers and usage data are not anonymous. Google receives information as the Analytics provider; collection is not confined to NorthStar’s own systems.
Inquiry contact details, messages and financial answers belong in NorthStar’s inquiry handling systems and are not intended as Analytics fields. Automatic user-provided data collection and automatic email matching in our Google tag and Analytics property were disabled on October 15, 2026. A link click or form interaction does not establish that a loan inquiry was accepted or that a loan was approved.
Retention and requests
Our current GA4 setting retains user-level and event-level data for 14 months. The user retention period resets when there is new activity. This setting does not impose the same deletion period on standard aggregated reports. Cookie lifetimes listed below are separate from Analytics data retention. WPConsent is configured to remember consent choices for 30 days; browser settings may remove stored choices sooner.
